Interesting post. I wasn't aware that Gavin Newsom had setup a "universal" type health care system in San Francisco. Who are the 30,000 people benefiting from this? And how do I get this same coverage? Is the universal care for city employees only?

I think universal health care is the way to go, but with the current economic crisis and the huge government deficit, I don't think the current administration will be able to get this done in the next 4 years without putting this country in grave economic danger.
